Getting Started With ScanToPDF

You can install ScanToPDF in evaluation mode by using the download links on many of our pages. In evaluation mode the PDF files created will be Watermarked (click here for an example). To remove the watermark you should purchase activation keys from the relevant web pages. Once the activation keys have been applied (click here for details) the PDF files are no longer watermarked.

These basic how to scan instructions are intended to help you get the ScanToPDF software working with your scanner and scanning pages

1. Install the TWAIN driver software that came with your scanner.

2. Attach the Scanner to your PC and switch it on

3. Start ScanToPDF

4. Click the File Menu

5. Click Select Scanning Device

6. Click Select TWAIN Source

7. You should see a box open with a title Select Source, with a list of TWAIN Sources (Scanners)

8. Select your scanner from the list by clicking it once so it is highlighted, and then click Select

9. Click Scan on the toolbar This should initiate a scan

It Still Does Not Work

1. Do you have a scanner attached to your PC and powered on

2. Have you installed your scanner software and drivers correctly

3. Are you able to scan into other programs that use TWAIN. You can download a TWAIN analyser from http://www.dosadi.com/twister.htm
